Chris received his B.A. in “Philosophy, Politics, and the Public” from Xavier University and his Master of Public Administration from Monterey Institute for International Studies (now the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Montery). For his thesis work, he spent six months living in Peru, working with AASD to pilot their Family Greenhouse Initiative(FGI) in the community of Maucau. After finishing his degree on exchange in Egypt, he returned to Peru to continue his work with AASD. He serves as a jack of all trades from grant-writing to farm hand, though his passion lies in expanding the pilot FGI to communities throughout Lares. He enjoys the mountains and working on the farm in Calca, reminding him of his Ol’ Kentucky Home.
