Internships
We have hosted many interns in the past that have helped us in so many ways. Each internship is very different depending on the requirements and skillset of the intern. Internships usually range from helping with projects in international education, GIS, and other areas that we see fit.
Please contact info@alianzaandina.org if there is a specific internship that you are interested in to see if we are a good match for each other.
Develop a Program
Another way to get involved with the AASD is to develop a program. We are always open to developing new partnerships and programs with universities and third-party providers.

I first meet the AASD at the Forum on Education Abroad conference in 2019, where I was excited to learn about their student programming and sustainable agriculture initiatives. With a professional background in study abroad and faculty-led programming, I was interested in getting involved with service learning programs and small providers in Latin America. After reaching out to the Experiential Learning (EL) team, we organized an internship opportunity for me during March 2020, where I would assist with conference prep, three student groups, and build their CRM. I was warmly welcomed by the EL Team, and had a fantastic first two weeks assisting with these endeavors. However, due to COVID-19, the conference and all student groups were cancelled and I found myself “stuck” in Peru. Thanks to the incredible EL Team, they welcomed me to stay longer, and my one month internship turned into five months. We found creative alternative activities for me to work on, such as creating their sample program template, creating several Marketing pieces, building up their LinkedIn presence and taking over all social media posting, heading two email campaigns utilizing the CRM I built, video creation, assisting with the Newsletter, assisting with the preparation for their new virtual practicum, and other administration tasks. The Sacred Valley of Peru is a magical place, and I appreciate the community connections of the AASD and their dedication to socially responsible programming that aims to make local communities teachers, guardians, and worthy of respect for their ways of life. Thank you EL Team, I could not have asked for a better quaren-team
