Originally from Illinois, JoLyn has always found herself exploring different places and cultures in vibrant Latin America. After studying Anthropology and Spanish during undergrad, JoLyn was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic for 2 years. After her service, she pursued her Master’s in International Education Management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies because of her deep appreciation for the life transforming experiences that comes with traveling abroad. After graduation, JoLyn traveled with a gap year program that gave her the opportunity to continue to see different countries throughout Latin America and experience more behind the scenes of education abroad. When not working with the AASD, JoLyn loves to experiment in the kitchen, learn about holistic health and wellness, hike the splendid Andes, and go ecstatic dancing.
