Women’s Empowerment
In the Lares District of Peru, 75% of children are malnourished and 80% of people live on less than $1 a day. However, studies show that when women and girls earn income, 90% is reinvested into the family. Women use income to feed and educate their children, as well as purchase clothes and other necessities. Investing in women is a way to benefit the entire community, so that’s what we’re doing with the creation of the INKAcase product line.
Mission: We work to improve the lives of indigenous artisans and their families by developing products that bridge old world artistry and modern utility.
Vision: We envision a world where socially and environmentally conscious consumers are the norm and our goods fulfill their demand.
Values
• The economic empowerment of impoverished artisans.
• The preservation of cultural heritage.
• An environmentally sustainable product line.
